New Sun Road is a high growth start-up. Our projects are diverse and impactful; our customers build digital literacy centers in the highlands of Guatemala, power remote communities in fire-prone areas of California, and provide mobile renewable energy emergency services during natural disasters. Our unique software platform uses IoT technology and AI algorithms to reduce operating costs and increase control and visibility.

New Sun Road is seeking an Operations Coordinator. The Operations Coordinator reports to the COO and works closely with the Operations Manager. They will support the operations team on accounting, purchasing, fulfillment, facilities management, and ad hoc operations projects.

Core Responsibilities

• Assemble orders, package, and ship the company’s Stellar Edge device and accessories to customers
• Maintain the laboratory and office, order supplies, etc.
• Accounting support in Quickbooks Online, including accounts payable and categorizing transactions
• Project management for information security to maintain ISO 27001 certification, safety plans and training, and other ad hoc operations projects
• Other operations support as needed

Qualifications

• Highly organized with good attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn and use enterprise software systems for project management, accounting and operations
• Demonstrated interest in business management and developing processes and systems
• Demonstrated interest in, and commitment to, New Sun Road’s core missions: development of technology for propagation of renewable energy, access to energy and Internet for underserved communities

Administrative Details

• This is a full time hourly position located onsite at the company’s offices in Richmond, CA. Due to the nature of the role, this position is not eligible for remote work.
