Your mission:

As a member of GDI’s team, you’ll help improve the performance of GDI’s Si anode technology, scale the technology from kilowatt to gigawatt scale, and join our effort in the fight against climate change. In particular, your role will be focused on maintaining and running our equipment in our R&D and pilot-production lab in Lauenförde (Germany), and supporting manufacturing development with our partners. You will be part of a team focused on silicon anode deposition and upscaling.

Your responsibilities:

• Operation of vacuum deposition equipment, including but not limited to routinely logging and measurement preset values, keeping and updating our inventory.
• Preparation, loading, unloading and packaging of anodes for lithium-ion energy storage products and components (e.g., anodes or battery cells) by chemical vapor deposition. Careful logging of deposition parameters.
• Informing PECVD process engineers and technicians of any equipment malfunction that need immediate attention.
• Communicating, in both written and oral format on the technical status of the equipment used.

Requirements:

Know-how:

• Familiar with MS Excel and MS Office suite.
• Post-secondary vocational education in a technical field.
• Experience in a production environment is a plus.

• Professional proficiency in English and German (oral and written).
