Our projects range from parking lot carports for public schools to ground mount solar on farms or landfills. We work with a range of clients including leading commercial real estate companies, municipalities, other government entities, and landowners. General Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Solar Construction Supervisor to oversee the installation and maintenance of ground mounted solar energy projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, specifically within the renewable energy sector, and a passion for sustainable energy solutions.

This position is field base and requires occasional travel to other Davis Hill Development sites

As a Solar Construction Supervisor, you'll be the on site lead and liaison for DHD’s greenfield construction efforts, ensuring efficient and high quality construction of our growing construction portfolio. You will report directly to the Director Construction.

Responsibilities

As a Construction Supervisor, you'll be responsible for contributing to construction-stage and commissioning stage greenfield project activity.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supervise and lead ground mount solar installation projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

- Manage on-site construction teams and subcontractors, providing direction and support.

- Act as the on site contact for Davis Hill Development.

- Develop, manage, and execute project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.

- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety regulations, local codes, and company policies.

- Collaborate with the Director of Construction, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to address any project-related issues and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, daily logs, weekly reports, incident and injury reports, delivery tracking, etc.

- Provide photo documentation of all site activities on a daily basis.

- Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety on the job site.

- Troubleshoot and resolve construction-related challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.

- Participate in pre-construction and weekly construction meetings and provide input on the planning phases to enhance project efficiency.

- Manage rented equipment deliveries.

- Perform vegetative management tasks, as necessary.

Required Knowledge and Abilities:

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience can be substituted for educational background).

- 5+ years of experience in construction management, with a focus on solar energy projects or similar renewable energy installations.

- Strong knowledge of solar construction techniques, materials, and relevant regulations.

- Ability to read and interpret electrical, civil, and mechanical construction drawings.

- Proven leadership capabilities, with experience managing teams and subcontractors effectively.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.

- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as required.

- Certification in OSHA safety training or equivalent preferred (10 HR minimum, 30 HR preferred)

-Must have or be able to obtain state specific stormwater credentials
