Job Description


Under general supervision, the Inside Sales Representative will collaborate with the Sales team to develop and maintain customer relationships and identify, develop, and close new sales opportunities. This position is responsible for helping to create new leads, following up on existing accounts, generating orders, ensuring they are fulfilled in a timely manner, and verifying that the customer received the product.

**This is a hybrid position which requires 2 days/week in our Philadelphia, PA office**

Core Functions/Duties

  • Drive revenue by managing and growing relationships across 10+ markets and assisting Market Managers to do the same in their assigned territories to meet/exceed individual and Sales team annual targets
  • Identify, qualify, respond to, and follow-up on all incoming leads
  • Partner with VP of Sales, Director of Sales and Market Managers to identify and support ongoing customer needs
  • Collaborate with Fulfillment & Facilities Coordinator to ensure accurate order delivery and timely processing schedules
  • Develop a strong understanding of ConnectDER products, territories and areas of targeted growth
  • Work with Sales team leadership to build sales plans and track sales performance
  • Coordinate trade show efforts with Marketing

Compensation range for this role begins at $75,000 + commission + equity

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or other related field, preferred

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience with a proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales goals
  • Understanding of the basic sales process, from initial contact to close
  • Comfortable handling both inbound leads and building outbound plans (via email and cold calling)

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in solar/energy storage/distributed energy/grid scale, highly preferred
  • Experience working with electric utilities
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably Hubspot

Key Competencies

  • Excellent communication (presentation, written, and verbal), and relationship-building skills
  • Understanding of research methodologies and strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Highly organized with a great track record of follow-through

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Must have the ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time with or without accommodation.

US Salary Range
$75,000$85,000 USD
