CleanFiber – Midwest

Job Description

Role & Compensation

The Midwest Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving CleanFiber’s growth in the Midwest, including conducting market research, developing relationships, and closing sales. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Midwest Regional Sales Manager will be a key contributor as CleanFiber looks to aggressively scale its business. We are looking for someone who will represent the CleanFiber brand exceptionally well and take pride in being an advocate for our customers. The Field Sales Representative will routinely collaborate with our production, logistics, and account management teams to ensure a best-in-class process for customers from the initial introduction until an order is placed and arrives at the customer’s location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Report to and work alongside CleanFiber’s Director of Sales to implement sales strategies and plans to achieve sales goals.
  • Leverage current and new sales strategies and methods to build relationships and further CleanFiber’s product adoption across the Midwest territory.
  • Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships.
  • Maintain a pulse around market price, trends, and customer feedback.
  • Work with sales leadership and other internal teams to develop a plan to ensure sales targets are being met.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of our products and differentiators to effectively educate and sell within the Midwest market.
  • Monitor and alert the team to contract bid/renewal opportunities.
  • We envision this role to require a combination of both remote work and in-person field sales calls, whatever is required to build strong, enduring relationships with customers.

The right candidate will bring experience in these areas:

  • Aggressive Growth: We seek an individual who has worked in a high growth environment and thrives on ambiguity and change. This individual will be a critical resource building the CleanFiber brand as we plan and execute on a national expansion vision.
  • Relationship Building: The team member in this role must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as organizational and time management skills to ensure the success of both CleanFiber as well as our customer’s experiences and interactions.
  • Experience Across a Range of Scales and Vantage Points: We are looking for a candidate who is familiar with the high paced environment of a disruptive startup but can understand the mindset of large and small counterparts as well as our customers who are grinding out pennies in mature industries and can help us with managing change throughout the customer relationship.
  • Industry Knowledge: The right fit for this role will have experience within the building supply and materials industry within the Midwest geographical region. An understanding of building practices and codes, as well as an understanding of sales and distribution channels, along with an existing network of relationships is strongly preferred.

Nice-To-Have Experience:

  • Experience in sales for a manufacturer
  • Ability to leverage existing relationship to drive sales and adoption of CleanFiber’s products in a short amount of time

We are seeking an individual with these personal attributes:

  • Team Building: We believe in the dignity and respect of all employees. We’re looking for an individual who emulates this and leads by example, makes and keeps commitments and gets things done.
  • Customer Focus: We need to drive a fanatical devotion to our customers throughout our team, ensuring that every delivery is made on time, and that our product maintains the highest quality standards. We need individuals who will challenge themselves to do the right thing for the customer, even when it is not easy or convenient.
  • Enjoys the Work and Sees the Vision: We are seeking a candidate who wants to be an integral part of building a successful company from the ground up. You will join CleanFiber not only for your career and income, but for the adventure of building a business, changing the building materials industry, and improving the lives of our employees and customers. You will feel success when the team and our customers are successful.
  • Driven self starter who takes initiative and is curious to learn more and engage in daily sales within the cellulose insulation industry.

About CleanFiber:

CleanFiber makes high performance cellulose building insulation from recycled corrugated cardboard boxes, using a unique and patented process. CleanFiber’s proven technology and accelerating business is poised to disrupt a fast-growing segment of the building insulation market, while rapidly building a highly-profitable business.

Cellulose insulation wins customers from fiberglass because of greater energy efficiency, and from foam because of its much lower price point. CleanFiber makes highly efficient cellulose insulation from recycled corrugated boxes, allowing us to challenge incumbent players who are reliant on diminishing supplies of recycled newsprint. With successful execution at our first facility, we believe we are well-positioned to rapidly seize market share on a national scale. We are a game changer!
