Job Description

Yotta Energy is seeking a mid-level to senior Mobile App Developer to lead development of our first mobile commissioning app for the Yotta Block battery system. This is a high-impact role where you will architect and build a new mobile application from the ground up, shaping both the product and the mobile technology direction at Yotta. You’ll join a fast-moving startup that thrives on collaboration, innovation, and hands-on problem-solving.

In this position, you will work closely with backend and hardware engineers to create a seamless user experience for device commissioning and field operations. You’ll define mobile best practices, drive technical decision-making, and ensure the app integrates smoothly with our APIs and hardware systems. What You’ll Do

Architect, develop, and launch a cross-platform React Native mobile application with PWA support for device commissioning.
Collaborate with backend and hardware engineers to ensure reliable integration with APIs and devices.
Establish best practices for mobile development, testing, and release workflows.
Participate in feature planning, technical design discussions, and code reviews.
Troubleshoot and resolve mobile, networking, and device-related issues.

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
2+ years with React Native or similar cross-platform frameworks.
Experience building and launching mobile apps from scratch.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern mobile development patterns.
Experience working with APIs and debugging network/device communication.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Bonus: Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
Bonus: Experience in the energy industry, IoT, or device commissioning.
Bonus: Full-stack skills or willingness to work across the stack when needed.
Salary – Up to $115,000/yr. DOE
